Please, linger at least slightly longer

On my lap. Let's stay home, lie low;

Let's pretend we've got

A leap day this year.

Take a leap of faith, take leave,

Say farewell to mundane liabilities.

Let's lie down on the lilac silk linen,

Heads up, watch the stars.

They're there adorning the welkin,

Even now, at midday.

So what if we cannot see them?

The sun overshadows their teeny

Twinkling lights—but we know:

The stars are there all the way.

– Look at these constellations!

See, this is Libra. I wish for the scales

To find balance. Liberty for all!

Both soul and body.

– So, no good, no evil?

– No extremes. Our celestial sphere

Is wise and beautiful. Look at the stars!

So much grace and so much order!

– Oh, silly, the stars are merely

God's dandruff flakes

Chaotically scattered

Across the Universe.

Fantastic! I can't believe I missed this one. "They're there adorning the welkin, Even now, at midday. So what if we cannot see them? The sun overshadows their teeny Twinkling lights—but we know: The stars are there all the way." "Welkin" is one of my favorite words for the heavens. Plus, I love the idea of still recognizing the stars during the day when they're invisible. The undoing of the deeper contemplation of good, evil, and balance, and the role of the cosmic bodies in weaving those concepts together is very interesting here. Like two ends of a spectrum of discussion. I guess the question now is, does God's dandruff offer questions and answers about the wisdom of the universe? "– So, no good, no evil? – No extremes. Our celestial sphere Is wise and beautiful. Look at the stars! So much grace and so much order!"

God has no time for grooming. Good job too or the sky would not be as pretty. Like the laziness of this, that let's just be and talk about shit whilst looking at the sky.
