God of this World

rambling thoughts during my walk

I am the center of this universe.

The sun. The moon. The stars.

The whole stupid solar system.

I said it.

I was supposed to get better.

Shitty childhood,

then something,

something good.

I blinked and missed it.

Five seconds between broken girl and breaking woman,

but even gods have origin stories.

Even gods come from nothing.

Everyone's walking around chanting:

“It's okay not to be okay.”

Keep that shit to yourself.

I don't chant.

I don't pretend.

No big bang.

I was always here.

The god of this world doesn't wait for the good times.

The god of this world makes them.

Or doesn't.

Either way —

I am still the fucking god of all of it.

Finally realizing I need to start acting like the main character in my own life. Writing helps me figure out where I keep losing the plot and giving away my spotlight. My story is a big mix of drama, comedy, tragedy, thriller, and, horror.
