gobs

the words slough off my tongue and crawl madly downwards, trailing their juices and making stains

.... "you make me shine, so this one's for you/ You're like the sky, my Favorite Color Blue/ And if you're Blue... I'll shine for you..."

two years' stains. the song ricochets like bullets fighting out from pressure, pressing the blood so welts form where softness was

your metal tongue against me, rasping, Pulling out that softness from me- Maya's toys crying gobs of stuffing across the dirty floor, As she shakes her head.

And you-

you took it from me.

every sweet tear edging out my eyes, slits as they were,

in the dark.
