Go, Home

A poem.

Home is the going to.

Home is that desert road inside me an astrologer once called a Mercury

conjunct Juno

conjunct Neptune

conjunct never happy with the ending

in Capricorn.

Home is where that star book sits

on a shelf

conjunct a garage that's not trending

and home

is the dusty space it left in its wake

when I did.

Home is the ring I bought at the flea

so I’d look down and feel like the queen

of some kingdom

they can’t see

to remind me

home is the building

not the building.

Home is the searching for one

for us wayward ones

that believed a tale about stars that travelled far

and in so doing

became some.
