I don't wanna be near here

I want to turn back time, Go back to better times, Go back to better days, I wish there was a way.

When the world wasn't burning, When less war was happening, Less illness around the world, When people weren't so cold.

When I used to be young, And not have a sharp tongue, I didn't understand stuff, I didn't know it was tough.

Before my parents got old, Before some friendships got cold, Before I had to find a job, Back when I could just be a snob.

I miss the times when I was small and snob, Thought there weren't problems around the globe, When I thought I could crack a new life code, Now everything is about to explode.

Celebrations aren't the same, This year Easter comes in vain, Life in this world is not the same, Will it ever be good again?

I thought we live in the best century, Still nicer than most of world history, So if this is the best we ever got, Then humanity really sucks a lot.

Take me back to better times, Even if it's all just lies, Take me to another year, I don't wanna be near here
