Oh glorious day, how bright you shine
Your golden rays, like a gift divine
You bring to us a world of light
And chase away the dark of night
You wake the flowers from their sleep
And give the trees their leaves to keep
You paint the sky with shades of blue
And make the clouds look brand new
You bring a smile to every face
And fill our hearts with love and grace
You give us hope and endless cheer
And make our dreams feel very near
Oh day, how beautiful you are
With all your light and all your star
We thank the heavens up above
For this amazing gift of love.

I’m here
I’d ask you to look around but you have no need to see, here on Gaia you open your third and see more of what could be. The energy that enters and transfers throughout your vessel, it’s something that connects you to every tree the blood of every living cell. You see less of the destruction but feel more through your bare foot, you mourn more than those who are blocked off by the way they look. Your quick mind realises the need for the both, the love and beauty flows with the pain and promotes our growth. You stay a short while and observe the roots beneath, you take away some pain and lift up mother Gaia’s grief. You leave signs in the fields as a reminder of something greater, hoping that one day we can all live together.

I appreciate the rhyme scheme of this poem. It reminded me of that hope filled feeling you have when you wake up to the sun shining, birds chirping and the morning is crisp with dew from the early morning hours. That feeling that you can do anything today and it will be a great day! So inspiring! Great work, Matheesha!
