Gloomy Skies

Fighting The Darkness Within

By Farah Khaled Published 2 years ago • 1 min read

Gloomy skies, sickened clouds

Raindrops falling, with no talking

Silence washing over, with rising doubts

Gloomy skies, I can hear the cries

Every raindrop is a reminder that there’s so much more that behind you lies

Red rays of twilight

What a shameful night!

Wounded skies got pains to fight

Yet an irresistible eye-catching sight

I can feel myself senseless

With everything around me so lifeless

Melancholic smile that I myself don’t believe in

My eyes are dry, my knees went weak, my hands are shaken

Tired of living in a world where everything’s heartbreaking

And how many times I have to force those smiles that I’m faking?

Let me color the atmosphere with a shade of green

Live real, far beyond just a dream

Breathe in some love, breathe in some hope

Would you let me?

Leave hopelessness behind in the imaginary zone

Would you let me?

See the change before the other coming dawn

Gloomy skies will stop the bleeding

When the world becomes the wonderful place, it was always seeking.
