Global

Why are we, the way we are?

By Bianca DawesPublished 4 years ago • 1 min read
It's time to change what's wrong.

Global.

The life of the people. The good and the evil. The animals we eat for our health. The puppies and kittens with little wool mittens but they don’t stand a chance against time.

Time.

The enemy. The pain and the cries. The hurt and the lies we take when we die, but time. It keeps on running. Faster and faster till there’s nothing left. Woman takes her last breath then next. The competitor. The one we race against to get things done.

Pandemics.

Pandemics run lives. We try to survive but nothing prepares us for what comes next.

Madness.

The result of depression, anxiety, oppression in society. The wide variety of demons inside of me. The result of sobriety and shame.

My place in this world is nothing but a mere grain of sand on a wet and tired old beach.

Peace.

The wind in our hair. The crisp, cold air. The ghosts we bare to avoid.

Ourselves.

The ones we deceive. The goals we achieve, but no longer believe is ourselves.

We try so hard but nothing makes sense when someone else runs our destiny.
