Yet when she decided to change her perspective,
she suddenly found that she was more receptive…
to life, and the beautiful wisdom it held…
Suddenly…
A beautiful realization fell upon her with more velocity than than the perceived hardships that had overran her life…
She was capable of being both the source of the dark tunnel she felt trapped in, and the light at the end of that tunnel…yet not simultaneously…
The choice was hers.
So she began to untangle the restrictive web she had so carefully woven around herself…
Yet unraveling anything leaves it disheveled…and she was no exception.
She felt raw and exposed, almost as if she were entering the world for the first time. Completely defenseless. Completely naive.
Yet she shifted her perspective, and realized that she was merely being reborn.
Life may seem like it has flipped upside down, and maybe it has; but perhaps that isn’t a bad thing….
Sometimes we must take a step back to properly regain our footing.
Progress isn’t merely measured by how we typically understand it.
A tear formed in her eye, something that was no stranger to her.
This time was different though.
This time, it was accompanied by a genuine smile…something that hadn’t crossed in her face in quite a while.
Tears of joy are a beautiful thing. She realized this as she looked in the mirror.
She also realized that so was she.
Her tears glistened differently when their original source of darkness became her newfound source of light.
So did she.
