Give Me The Rainbow

Living Free

By Tim CarterPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

A kaleidoscope of emotions

I'm prepared to ride the wave

Give me all of the colors

Give me the rainbow

The world is only as big as you make it

I have many more corners to reach

Give me all of the colors

Give me the rainbow

Ask my favorite color, favorite book, favorite food

The answer will be different every day

Give me all of the colors

Give me the rainbow

What do I want for Christmas?

Give me the rainbow

I don't want things

This is not where I was born

It won't be where I die

Don't be alarmed; I come in peace

Give me all of the colors

Give me the rainbow

I have the potential

It's just a matter of harnessing it

There's no point idling in the meantime

Give me all of the colors

Give me the rainbow

That rainbow's not just for me

My family are even more adventurous

And they look great in any color

The colors are brighter than before

Sometimes I drift back to sepia tones

But there's a reason why they're obsolete

Give me all of the colors

Give me the rainbow

The downpour helps prepare the horizon

I've taken my soaking

Now it's time to appreciate the pretty view

Give me all of the colors

Give me the rainbow
