The girl unbroken,
She sees the good in every single day.
She laughs and smiles, even when her heart
Has been torn away.
She smiles through her tears, telling everyone
“No. Really, I’m okay.”
She is a light at the end of the tunnel,
A flower that is ready to bloom.
For eighteen years, she has faced obstacles
With a smile.
She has seen darkness and found the light,
She has been a gift to everyone she meets,
She is something that can’t be beat.
But, no one knew, no one ever knew.
That behind those smiles and laughs,
She was an ordinary girl,
With a broken past.
Though, for many years she hid
What she truly felt inside,
Some secrets, can just never hide.
For, she met a boy, a wonderful boy.
Or, so she thought.
No, this boy was far from wonderful.
For he, had a very, very evil plot.
The boy stole all the light in her life,
One cold october night.
Her took her happiness and left her there for dead.
Coiled on the cold ground,
The girl wept in silence,
For she knew that what the boy had taken
Could never be put back again.
She mustered up all the strength and courage
She could manage, and walked
Towards the old toll bridge,
That stood above a raging river.
She stepped onto the edge and whispered
“How can I have any light, when I’m already dead?”
Not expecting an answer, the girl took a step forward,
And fell upon the river bed.
For the girl unbroken, had finally broke.
