Ghetto Cries

Who's to blame?

Ghetto Cries

The ghetto cry was left unnoticed.

As the shots were fired in the streets of Chicago.

Watch the blood pour and seeth through the cracks of the sidewalks.

The family of the victim was left in shock.

They lost another one.

To cops who don’t care a ton.

The mistake was on the armour in blue.

The mistake cost one life to lose.

People crowding dead bodies everyday.

This is reality, sadly to say.

So the ghetto cry echoes in the streets of Chicago.

It was left unnoticed a week ago.

Innocent bodies were found with their hands and feet bound.

The ghetto cry was not strong enough.

For the cops to notice this crime is not a bluff.

Ghetto cries signifies the pain.

Not the injections from the drug of the insane.

Not from the violence that brings in fame.

The ghetto cries is all that remains.

Echos bouncing off the walls of the police stations, but still unheard.

Now they lay on the streets of Chicago without a word.

Ghetto cries echoes for the ones who lost their lives.

From five bullets which left holes of five.

Please bow all heads down in silence.

To pay the respect for the victims crying for medical attention.

Ghetto cries from the heavens.

Because the killers lurk around the streets of Chicago thirsty for violence.

Does the ghetto cries ever end?

Can two families make amends?
