So many
So down
We do nothing
We continue on
Left behind
A mind of possibility
Wasted without support
Forced to go a separate road
Snuffed out in a street, a life so short
We leave them behind for others
Because of what, our pressed lives
They are our sisters and brothers
But we leave them behind
Is this the way
The way you were taught
A life of subjegation to the symbol
Symbols that turn to dust one day
They won't matter when your gone
But you worship them today
What is the need of that
Walking past that one soul
Ignoring their plight
Could they be the one
To bring us out of forever night
Could it have been you
If you were not so short of sight
A moment in time
It's all that it takes
A smile
Just the upside down frown
A word
Of pleasant encouragement
You never really know
