a poem

Days passed without a shade,

Enveloping her very being.

She followed the whims of the wind,

Searching for a path alien to her.

Along the journey to her higher self,

She neglected her roots,

Leaving behind decaying ribbons.

Like pearls cast before swine,

Her vibrant colours remained hidden within–

Intact

Outside–

Shades of grey in variation

As they play chess with Death.

This lady possesses great skill

In omitting things

Of utmost value for life.

On every attempt,

She seems to decree

More strength and power than anyone else.

Everyone ought to show Her respect

For She consistently arrives at the perfect moment

To resolve conflicts and bring harmony to all of us

Nescient that we are all destined to lose.

Her influence will guide us throughout the centuries,

Even if you are hesitant to recognise it.
