The comforts of home.

By Katherlene MilnerPublished 5 years ago • 1 min read

Home is where the ancestors stir deep in your spirit.

Where you feel rooted to the ground.

Where the stars shine brightly and you feel compelled to look.

Home is where your heart stirs and flutters.

Home is where the food tastes like comfort and the air is clean.

Home is where the accents sound like cornbread dipped in honey-- with long vowels and care.

Home is where the tea is sweetest and the body is at ease.

Home is where things make sense out of no sense.

Home is where you don't need a GPS.

Home provides memories on every corner.

Home is where you reckon with your past, plan your future and enjoy your present and presence.

Home is where the ancestors are buried.

Home is where they sell the watermelons off the back of the pick up trucks.

Home is where mama is.

Home is where grandma is.

Home restores.

Home brings joy.

Home is where your spirit talks and you listen.

Home is home.

Home is where the skin tingles and the soul vibrates.

Home is sweet.

Home is Georgia.
