Genesis and Exodus of the Last Flame.

A prayer and supplication to beginning and farewell.

By Novel AllenPublished 10 months ago • 2 min read

Our creative Genesis baptized us in soothing waters of beginnings

Our Exodus now burns hot in the departing rage of flame's goodbye

🔥 That first Flame of mystery...which kindled our literary embers,

became our oxidation - fueling our exothermic combustion,

offering heat and light, awakening us in fiery tendrils of potential

You are visible in parts of fire- reacting and animating our flame-

You have sanctified us...with an all-consuming excitement,

a holy inferno of literary sparks, stimulating the senses.

We gratefully encapsulate and give you reverence,

our shadows bending, our heads bowed.

You are the sanctity of our beginnings,

the bated, sotto voce breathless voices of our endings,

the fragile thread between creativity's birth and rebirth.

We guard you, cradling your spirit -

You are Flame - free spirited, a possession to none,

yet burning, you share the gift of your warmth -

a promise to all, to frizzante, sparkle and effervesce.

Reassuring - that the sparks within words will rise again,

that rituals of ink and fingertips

will again awaken the sleeping stars.

Flame, our sanctified keeper,

teach us to burn without consuming,

to shine without wounding,

to kindle without forgetting.

In your glow we prayerfully supplicate

that your blaze be preserved, to be reborn.

May the next awakening find us ready,

humble hands open,

thankful hearts luminous...

Lips singing Amen to fire,

praises to word...

joy to holy illumination.

🔥 Flame, celestial ember,

we guard you -

Our holy spark...

You are the machination of beginnings,

the perplexity and intrigue of endings,

the fragile thread between silence and song.

Be ineffable flame - be wonderous,

without consuming.

Be extreme,

without wounding.

Greatly express, impress,

without forgetting.

We cradle you as confirmation,

that words will rise again,

that rituals of ink and inscribing

will awaken the sleeping stars.

Flame, sanctified keeper,

we guard you...

The last holy light.

In your glow we rejoice,

may your sparks be preserved,

may light be reborn,

may the next awakening find us ready.

Amen of fire, of word...

Of holy light.

We pause, reflect and remember.

Embracing the Flame's last goodbye.
