i don’t blame her for how she treated me
maybe she didn’t know how to be a parent
or maybe never wanted to be one
but had no choice due to the society she grew up in
or maybe she did want children
but didn’t know to love them because of her own upbringing
the trauma she endorsed as a child
has now been passed down to me
the difference between me and her is that
i won’t be like her
not at all
instead, i’ll heal
and be the first person who broke the cycle
it ends with me

Sad and yet positive at the same time. Give your kids a big hug they deserve it :)
