As Submitted To The Harvest Of Memory Challenge
Milan fed them good
Scholastics tinkered under Cora and Tina’s mindful hood
Acting as something they should
And could
Successfully complete
Like their track and field meet
Effort gets an A plus
Failure means, 'board the homeward bound bus’
Four years developing might
Harvesting intellect needed for life’s fight
Classes attend
Competitive with a friend
Cora and Tina, were a match
Only if someone could catch
Two mining gold
Athletically bold
As everyone was told
Until victor turned sour
Pair gained power
From the champion source
Disrupting the syllabus course
Thick and thin
Needing the book win
They stuck together
Budgeting time, studying ‘whatever’
And in the end
Gathered knowledge, judged a ten
Very calm
Cora and Tina moved on
Another chapter to write
Using skills that made them look bright
Putting to shame
Playing the game
Nothing to lose, only adventures to gain
