GARGOYLE

I used to glide across the silken blanket of night

Right when it shroud the Earth,

Until I was cursed to watch the lights from high above,

Those glimmering beacons are a destination for Kings..

*

Encased within this prison made of stone and steel,

Cold.. yet it breaths

Like a lifeless womb incubating an ancient evil..

*

Before I sleep, a mysterious voice whispered to me,

Telling me that no matter how free I am within my dreams,

I will always wake up here on this ledge above the clouds,

Watching and waiting.
