The peonies brought back memories of a family reunion, where laughter and love flowed as freely as the wine.

The marigolds reminded her of the festive celebrations she used to have, where family and friends gathered to celebrate life and love. But it wasn’t just the memories of Thomas and her children that the garden stirred.

It was also the memory of her own strength and resilience. The garden had been her refuge during challenging times, a place where she found solace and purpose.

She reached the old oak tree at the edge of the garden, its branches sprawling like the arms of an old friend.
