Fuzzy Peaches
A sensory-based poem about nostalgia
Surprise!
I grab a bag of
these good ol’ tart gummy sunstones
that taste like jellied fruits
caked in delicious white glitter!
One by one,
I pop a sweet little gem,
and make a pond of
nectarine-pineapple juice
in my mouth!
Yummy!
These sweeties are
a child’s best friend!
They’re refreshing like
glasses of passionfruit punch!
They’re chewy and sticky
like jumbo vermillion red Sour Keys
but small and bright as
tangerine coloured beads!
Just like cuddly Cabbage Patch Dolls,
plastic and artsy Tamagotchi’s
and Peek-a-Pooh keychains,
these candies are a
treasure to savour forever!
