Full Moon

A Moonlit Stroll

By SUZETTE DRUMMONDSPublished about a year ago 1 min read

I glanced up at the illuminated sky

A full moon glared from outer space

Its silver glow lighting up my face.

I strolled along enjoying the sight

I walked past a store closed for the night

I walked past a church with steeples so high

I walked and walked and let out a big sigh

All of a sudden, I heard a growl

I turned towards the gnarly sound

Lips pulled back, yellow eyes, sharp teeth

I spun around, I turned to flee

Go faster, go faster I told my feet

Closer and closer it came to me

Go faster, go faster I told my feet

So close, too close it came to me

Lips pulled back, yellow eyes, sharp teeth

This could not be real, I must be asleep

Wake up Wake up

I said in my head

Just then I jumped up

I was still in my bed.
