Fuel Emissions

What are we doing to our world ?

Fuel Emissions

The air is thick with a silent curse,

A veil of smoke that darkens light,

Fuel-fed clouds that only worsen,

Hiding the stars, dimming the night.

Engines hum, a constant drone,

Inhaling fumes, we breathe them in,

The city’s pulse, a choking tone,

As toxins seep beneath our skin.

The lungs grow weak, the heart beats fast,

In the haze, the body fights,

A sickness born from shadows cast,

As we inhale the poisoned heights.

The children cough, the elders wheeze,

A quiet toll that goes unseen,

As the planet struggles to breathe,

And we ignore the rising scream.

Fuel emissions, heavy, grim,

A health betrayed by what we burn,

The earth grows sick, its edges dim,

And still, the deeds of our failures are firm.
