Losing Inspiration

Deprived of feeling, cold and alone.

Paralyzed, unable to move.

A numb indifference.

Chilling apprehension hitting in waves, like the icy stabs of pain.

Life’s cruel hand dealing cheap tricks.

Vulnerability shining bright like the moon rises in the sky.

The changing tides washing like waves on the shore.

Unpredictability unwavering like the sands of time.

Frozen in misstep, a failure.

A lapse of judgement, a bad call.

Mind racing but still all the same.

Time disappearing like raindrops on the ground.

Nothing coming easy.

The weight of it all like the last straw on the camel’s back.

Losing hope, grasping for one last inspiration.
