From Now On

Don't touch the light

It stays on

While you lay

Awake at night

So stay away

Stay in your head

Today you might

Hear what your shadows have said

And that's the worst

Feeling from now on

When the thriving thirsts

For a connection beyond

So a throbbing pain

Stirs up a fright

It's getting dark

And it comes out at night

You open your eyes

To a flashing light

A silhouette dances

In the distant night

Here.

The circus of life

A pandemonium zoo

The silhouette stirs them

But it's a shadow of you

Your face,

On every corner.

A sudden turn,

And your image gets warmer.

One last pull for air,

And the circus has found its performer.
