From Life to Abyss

We struggle until death

From Life to Abyss

There is a tale of life descent in shadows deep;

Where pain thrives, a tapestry woven with disorted lives;

A darkened verse of despair.

From the fragile infant to life's cruel irony;

In search of rest we struggle forward;

Out of fate's cruel hand, it guides the course, day by day, through themud and fog.

Oh, life, you cruel fairy mistress, with sorrow's masked and lonely paint;

You tease hope like a fragile string and then brutally tear it apart.

We live for release in the depths of the abyss;

A moment of peace, a reprieve from the pain;

We are not yet prepared for death's icy embrace.

    This was good. It reminded me of a quote I saw attached to a screenshot of an older movie today, about seeking solace in eternal rest. Then again, struggle is what brings joy in life. The effort makes it worthwhile. You can't know the joyous moments without it.
