Friendship Braids
The Impressions Relationships Leave Behind
Family and Friends are like French braids.
They wind together,
creating a pattern of love.
Fun to look at,
always getting longer.
All as unique as the people who wear them.
Some tightly woven so they don't fall apart,
others loose for easy wear.
Even if they do fall apart,
your hair is always curly afterward.
An impression of what was there.
The memory of the bond, even broken,
reminds you that your life has changed.
Hopefully, for the better, but always just a little.
