and give you a second to be sad and hurt

by the fact that life is tough

someone who can see and accept you just as you are

you're a bright star but the darkness that controls some lesser being makes you hurt and you think it's your own fault

mental somersaults trying to understand and the result is stress

what a mess that hate has made on a beautiful being like you

falsehood has started to fade your fulfillment of reaching towards love

because those below do not want you to rise above
