My friends
Merry Mary, can be quite contrary
We love laughing together with Sherry
Oops, we don't drink anymore
It has been 46 years, and more
years for her. She is a bit wary
Early recovery meant she was a but a baby
Well, a teenager and maybe
a lttile bit crazy! She has the best laugh at
anything and everything from her hat
to scat, to bat, that is bat crazy
Her hat was made of bark,
She will get me started with a little spark
of something, and off we go, and there is
no stopping me and it is no ones biz
how I will laugh until dark

Rose, is more serious, and yet
we can laugh and cry, no sweat
She turned 80 this year
Bringing we to tear
up and then we laughed until I wet

Felicia, called and we laughed
as she will tell a tale about a raft
It is dumb, still we laugh
Then there is the giraffe
Tall, slender, on the raft and daft
JoAnn rhymes all of the time
She is the best of anyone at rhyme
She writes limericks
and picks up sticks
in the woods. She can even mime.
That friend of mine, she is a blast
We will always laugh until every last
laugh is spent. So I feel better
after a call from her.
Our time together goes to darn fast!

Then a letter, yes, a letter from Betty
So much fun and she made it so that any
day now, I will come to know
who may walk down and show
me what it is I need to be to so many.
Some sadness about friends that are gone
and sometimes their death feels so wrong
Family memories we will share
we try to share those that are rare
and that help each of us to be so strong
The funny ones. Like mom was a comedian
and grandfather Herman wasn't that badcomedian
But little laughter here or there
Little laughter here or anywhere
Mom's best story was the one about the penguin
Peggy knows when it is time to joke
we have a humor book, and we will take a poke
at the hubby's, it will be so
it will not be when we glow,
but when we are low! We used to have a smoke
My daughter has a goose named after her husband
His middle name is Forest, and that is on the band
around the gooses neck. He will
squawk as she gets home, still
even though he knows, she will be back, with a snack
Forest is her baby, taking a stand

Enough
It is tough
and sometimes rough
to not get some guff
from walking in the buff
while overlooking the bluff
I cover my muff
to not pass on stuff
not intended as fluff
Enough!
