Fridge Cereal

Yummy left in the fridge over night

Fridge Cereal

In a bowl the night before,

I mixed a little, then added more,

Oats and fruit all tucked away,

Waiting quietly for the day.

A splash of milk, a spoon of seed,

Everything a breakfast needs,

Covered well and placed with care,

Chilling in the cool fridge air.

While I slept through the night,

The oats grew soft by morning light,

The flavours blended deep and slow,

Creating something good to know.

No rushing when the alarm rings,

No searching cupboards for missing things,

Just open the door and there it stands,

Ready and waiting at my hands.

Sweet berries resting on the top,

A drizzle of honey, a final drop,

Simple pleasures often prove,

The kind of meals we come to love.

Cold and creamy, rich and bright,

Prepared ahead the previous night,

A cereal made with time and care,

Bringing comfort everywhere.

The fridge keeps every flavour fresh,

Each ingredient at its best,

A morning treat that’s easy too,

Perfect for a busy view.

So if you want a breakfast chilled,

With goodness packed and hunger filled,

Make your cereal, tuck it away,

then greet it gladly the next day.
