Friday Mornings

'...The Rising Sun'

Early Friday,

Slowing rises

Time evolving

Summer ending.

A day of conquering

My reign

Begins with -

Strong coffee,

Two shots

Extra hot

Needed for,

A child of the Moon.

The Sun her crown.

Silence of the home

Before anyone wakes

Fills every corner.

If sunbeams were a noise -

It would taste of orange.

The first sip

Aah...

Fire on the walls

Sparks the race to acheive

Deep inside

A struggle

Deciding

Breathe -

To live in the moment.

One more day

Sigh.

The plants happy,

As they bathe

The birds sing

A tune -

Of yesterday

As Tomorrow

They will sing of today.

In the present -

Once again,

A small window

Of hope.

I will rise with the sun,

Climb the hills,

Dodge their shadows.

I refuse to fail.

To change the world

In one way.

Golden journal

Fountain pen,

An ally,

A friend.

In time.

The small brings joy,

Preception is all.

A moment -

Just for I.

Early mornings,

The best,

On a Friday.
