Conceived in love is our kingdom
From our birth we brought its wisdom
Growing in fear we strive for freedom
Keeping a faith void of love is seldom
Conceived by a mother through a father
Born into this world to live together
The first breath was taken from the ether
Our existence is to help each other
Kindness and hate some have us learn
Happiness and fear we can discern
To know our calling is what we yearn
Living in darkness is no longer a concern
Enslaved by the greed of human wrath
Our hearts and souls will light our path
Out of hunger, homelessness, and lives lost in the bloodbath
We will all be united in the aftermath
Our strengths and skills are ours to use
To live in love is what we choose
The fire and power within our being is the fuse
To serve and preserve, never to abuse
This message is for a time
When sights and sounds no longer have rhyme
Knowing bombarding day and night is a crime
With the blood of children flowing like wine
To your aid, we will come
Using our strengths and skills in fulsome
In serving your needs we are wholesome
To once again live in equilibrium

Ever since my small writing beginnings, when I started writing on Vocal in February 2021, I had been in a truly terrible slump & funk when it came to my writing. I had so many unfinished projects, ideas, half finished manuscripts and first chapters that were going nowhere.
