Feel the frazzle of nerves,

uncertainty looming,

filling the air, a susurrus

of delayed sensation,

something tangled

in the airwaves,

interfering,

preventing

connection.

You can't touch it,

but you feel it,

deep down in the marrow

of your bones,

them bones

them bones

them butchered bones,

skin stretched tight,

trying

to hold it all in.

system failure,

everything inside

exposed to the air,

that wicked catalyst

sparking and crackling,

cackling at you,

your frazzled nerves

fraying around

the edges, edgier

than before.

Maybe there's nothing

on the other side,

nothing

to

con-

nect

to.
