Four Days

No Amount of Time is Enough

Four Days

A second pink line appeared in my life

And I felt such joy that you were with me

For four days I whispered to you that I loved you

Imagined a future with you

For four days I poured my gratitude into the world

And carried you with me as you grew

On the fifth day the pain and the blood came

And they had to send me into the dark to save me

I woke up knowing you were gone

And a part of me wished I could have gone with you

I've nothing left of you to hold except the memories four short days

I will miss you always, my littlest love
