Fountainhead: a pantoum I wrote about my diagnosis.

Fountainhead

The stream had broken from its source,

I was ten times higher,

Genetics as they were,

Of developing bipolar.

I was ten times higher

Which immediately set me apart

Developing bipolar,

Beautiful, bubbling brook.

This immediately set me apart

From other babies,

Beautiful, bubbling brook.

The first-born bawler.

Different from other babies

Time lapsed

The first-born bawler

Informed as I grew.

Time lapsed,

Alluring stories from my mother

Informed as I grew,

Sepia photos merged into colour.

Alluring stories from her mother

Genetics as they were

Sepia photos merged into colour

The stream had broken from its source.
