It would be a hopeless task

to catalogue all these things

let a handful suffice

.

I’d hoped to slip away

unobserved but instead

found myself

opening a twisted wound

.

staggering through

a narrow alleyway

I had left behind

a block of blackness

.

not homes

here and there a candle

moving through a tomb

.

I found in shorelessness

resides the highest truth

Indefinite as God, Sabee?

.

Me sabee plenty

About the Creator

Sean Balogh

A lover of soft cheese and delayed gratification. I prefer plants to people, more often than not. Most of these words should find a home among the compost but hey, at least I'm still writing.
