Forgive My Impatience II

I have no excuses... I've grown quite angry, from waiting... but waiting for what?...

Time‐

I never seem to have enough, but

I don't exactly want anymore of it...

I'd rather have a "skip" button‐

I shouldn't be thinking about this stuff, but

The day's end, I'm always left waiting for it...

Time itself would not be able to count just how many times I'd press that "skip" button–

Forgive my Impatience—

I feel I have had enough, but

I'm far too young to say, "I don't want anymore of it..."

I'd rather have a "skip" button‐

I know I shouldn't say things like this, but

Knowing just isn't enough...

I hope that Time will not take to heart my inevitable abuse of that "skip" button–

Forgive my Impatience—

Or not...

I no longer seem to have the capacity to care...

and apathy was never my choice, but

I'm no longer very keen to caring anymore...

and regarding what Time is left in my inventory...

I'm not to keen on carrying it anymore‐

I hope that Time will not take to heart my want to walk away a little early–

Forgive my Impatience—

Or not...

I doubt there will be any difference either way

Regarding my absence, I know there will be a difference, and

of course I care

enough to still be here, but

I still can't seem to see past the indifference in my own heart

Time, please don't take to heart, these dangerous wishes of mine‐

Just, Forgive My Impatience—

JM

Personally, writing began as a creative outlet, to be a means of processing and venting emotion, but it has become so much more. Something I want not to be just relatable, enjoyable and a good read, but to reach someone who is in need.
