Forest cabin.

Rushing trees, flowing leaves,

Forest realm, healing reprieves,

Cabin in the woodland place,

Away from any face.

Silent dominion, private portion,

Away from any constant motion.

Air to flow, trees to grow,

Smell of oak, rivers to flow,

Moose to wander, deer to graze,

Hungry bears not welcome, stays,

Salmon cross the rivers path,

Unafraid of the aftermath,

“Pitter, patter,” rain to drop,

Sub to rise, blessed crop.

Moon to rise, raccoons to scurry,

Howl of the wolfpack in a hurry.

So I lingered amidst the forest,

The silence brought such delight,

So I lived in a log cabin,

With silence, so I can write.
