For Wonder’s Sake

March 20, 2020

Filled with,

Inspired to,

Struck with,

Urged to,

Get through get by,

No what or why,

Without a who or when,

What’s the point?

Look up and look around

See the offerings,

All that is before you

Lends its power

Find purpose in the sky

In the stars, sun, and moon

Can’t be told what matters

You feel it

Feel it in the ground

In the air

Feel it in the hope

And in the fear

Curiosity is not a sentence

Not a penance to work off

Not to be punished

Curiosity is a virtue

To see the world for what it is

Is to see the sky

To see the world for where it is

Is to see the earth

A life without hope

Or faith, or fear

Is a life without wonder,

Without death, or birth

All are needed to continue

Question it all and learn

Believe for belief’s sake

Don’t let wonder die
