And I ignore her
Only hum as if in agreement
But she’s persistent and she begs me to join her

And when I finally go to bed and say goodnight
She doesn’t answer me
I question if we’re alright
And the next morning I awake to her
She makes me want to stay
But she smacks me in the head

Starts stroking my eyes and the hair on my head
And I shake her off saying
“I’ve got so much on my plate
I’ve worked so much
I’d prefer to sit down
I’m hungry and thirsty
Plus my friends from out of town
Are in town
A few late hours won’t kill me?”
She scowls and on my way back from boy's night
She grabs the wheel and jerks it
Saying:
“Yeah, but I might...”
