For the baby

Who was never meant to grow

By Kiesha’s DiaryPublished 8 months ago 1 min read

“did i do the wrong thing?” a mother had to ask

she prayed and prayed that she could take it back

“absolutely not” an infant replied…

“you let me go but i still stand beside”

a life that never got to live,

a loss that had so much to give.

she was a baby that was never meant to grow

the sky was not ready to let her go

back up she flew

too good for this world, it is true

peace she has found

an angel watching down

“i wish that you could have stayed with me”

but her baby shook her head to disagree

“as your mum i have failed and done you wrong”

though her baby knew, her existence was not meant to be long

“i have to now distract myself by playing guitars…”

“because you should have been the only one in my arms”

they hold their hands and pray

that they will meet again someday

the time was now up and the baby had to depart

but forever and ever she lives in her mother’s heart

heartbreak
