For Now

For now, I live in dread

Of darkness and desire

For now, I hold a Twig

But someday it will flower

Hold your breath

Count to ten

For now, I live in exile

Alone without a friend

For now, I hold my tears

But someday won’t pretend

Arms stretched out

Don’t look down

For now, I hold a Star

A compass at my side

For now, I man a Ship

May goodness be my guide.
