The four heads peer down at me
As the dazzling lights shine in my eyes
I wonder why so many
But apparently I’m a phenomenon
I hear a buzzing sound that seems to come from within
And a swishing vacuum near my lips
I try to see but can’t lift my head
I wriggle my toes in distraction
And stretch open my fingers wide
I play with the handle of my fone
All the while wondering how much longer?
“Don’t forget to breathe” they remind
Lots of discussion and buzzy bees later
They tell me it’s finally done
My tooth - for now, is saved!
About the Creator
Linda Bromley
Just one of many creative outlets for me has been books! My whole life I’ve loved them and it’s so easy to make the jump to writing.
Recently I completed a poetry challenge and now, looking for more excuses to write, I’ve found myself here!
