Scattered digital voices,
cells within a sea,
a thousand unseen motivations,
the wires underneath.
-
It’s an anxious existence,
I shed another skin in the shower
and feel refreshed ‘til morning
when the flood begins again.
-
The ashes in a pile
hold the deaths of yesterday.
The blood on the walls
not quite dry yet.
-
The sweat accumulates
- a snowball effect -
and moves towards the dirt.
-
Knowing that this body
will soon be there, too
I resign all emotion,
trying not to show the hurt.
