Don't you remember you said we will never be together, therefore there is no "us" to make work. How about you work on.... getting the fuck out of my face. Fuck out my space. Fuck out my life. Drowning in your feelings but the lifeguard just quit and you're only in 3ft Your hatred and heartache tried it's hardest to slip through the cracks and destroy me from the inside out but the anti biotics have kicked in. Soon I'll have kicked the habit that is you.
Please understand I wish no harm and or unhappiness upon you nor do I hate you, but you will never drain my energy again.

The Wave
I feel the water's icy touch on my ankles as the grainy sand wedges itself between my toes. The air is fresh and crisp with the smell of salt and hints of fish. The last day of summer cruises by me on the sun as it slowly but surely makes its way to the other side of the world. My board is freshly waxed with scents of pineapple and coconut. The crystal blue water curls into waves that crash at my feet, I am waiting for the one. You know that one wave to make this day and this summer epic, always go out with a bang, they say. I can hear the loud chatter of voices from people at the beach and in the distance I hear the faint call of seagulls, but then it all fades away into silence. All I can hear now are her waves calling to me. It's like she and I have become one as her waves and tides match the rhythm of my beating heart. She is to me Demeter as I am her Persephone and winter is Hades.

Doing it for the troops
The others dropped like flies around me. We fought and struggled to get to this point. I'm the only one left now. The objective is right there. A mere two hundred feet away. The last of my team got a bullet to the head right next to me, but I couldn't do anything. I was able to locate and neutralise the sniper as he shot my friend, so his death was at least not in vain.
