Food For Thought

Soft and subtle with a hint of spice,

bringing elation so delicate and nice.

Layer upon layer it towers before you,

waiting in line to wet yours natures dew.

Its filled to the brim with all the right choices,

all can agree from the sound of their voices.

Soon it is your time to step up to the plate,

to open up your gaze and widen the golden gate.

Upon reaching its goal you feel the sense of accomplishment,

that also comes with a sign of brief but understanding resentment.

Slowly you bring yourself to finish what you had started before,

clearing your plate off of the food you'll forever adore.
