Following Orders

February 24, 2013

To take the command,

That demand,

Do as you’re told

Despite the ethics

Don’t think for yourself

Don’t think at all

Just go along,

Blissful ignorance

Whimpers and whines,

The only sound besides

The crack of the whip,

The crack in your head

You don’t have a mind

You don’t own yourself

Deluded to think so,

You follow blindly

Don’t think for yourself

Don’t think at all

Just go along,

Blissful ignorance

Just to make a buck

Or to win the war

Keep your head down

Don’t stick out your neck

Whimpers and whines,

The only sound besides

The crack of the whip,

The crack in your head

Conned, nothing more,

You’re nothing but another

Mislead youth, no matter your age,

You automaton!
