Crate Paper
Folded--
Over, over, over.
Hiding here,
Words unspoken--felt just the same,
Tucked in these creases,
Sewn syllables stitched,
Delicate fountain ink.
Written unashamed.
Every intention good.
Glittering hyperbole, clumsy metaphors fighting for feeling,
Colored paper cut out, begging;
Dreaming dreams unearned.
We were,
90 hellos, 91 goodbyes.
We were,
Born between typhoons and earthquakes,
We were,
Loving and loving and loving,
Damaged hearts,
Turn on but do not go.
Idling--we drowned.
Sewn syllables stitched--delicate fountain ink written unashamed.
Every intention good.
Tucked in the crease, hiding here--
Folded
Over, over, over.
