I wanna know how it feels like

to wake up each day, knowing.

What your soul craves,

what drives you.

What pulls you through the doubt?

All I can do is fly far,

over the plain sea, mixing with clear skies.

Having no idea where I’m going,

where I’m landing,

or why I’m moving.

Hoping that life lines up,

and lays a piece of land ahead of me.

A resting place that feels like home,

where my feathers fall, and mix with the set system,

lock in place.

A place I’ll belong

even when I decide to fly off again.

‘Cause I know I’ll be leaving when the skies clear above me.

A home that’ll be waiting,

through months of loss and misguided navigation.

The air under my wings,

pushing me closer to the edge,

I’ll fall and drown.

All I can do is adapt,

swim in waves, until my feet

learn to walk above the ocean.

Find a stray branch, and

jump back into the sky.

Still missing where I’m going.

Where or why I started moving.

Why I left behind a stable land.

But, I want to know how it feels like

to wake up each day, knowing.

What my soul craves,

what drives it.

What pushes me to keep moving through the doubt.

All I know

is that the sky calls me.

Doesn’t expect me to become like it.

Welcomes me to fly and find,

Let me find

Lets me find

Any reason to fly off again.
