Fluffy Feet

A short poem

Tippy tap tiny toes

Tiny claws on the floor

Bouncing gait

Followed by a curious "mrr?"

From the chubby, chummy belly

Ears perk up, eyes grow big

As dinner time has come

Fat fluffy friendly kitty

Following the creak of the can opener

But to the feline's chagrin

It was merely the crackle

Of a soda can being crunched

But mother can't resist that fluffy face

with awaiting eyes

and paws kneading an invisible dough

"Okay fine, I'll get you some food"

The thunderous purr can shake the floor

As the excited thump of fluffy feet

Nearly trips mother as she walks to the kitchen door
